El Careyes Beach Resort is located midway between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo on the Costa Careyes (also commonly referred to as Costa Alegre). The resort is located 69 miles north of the Manzanillo International Airport. Exiting the airport, turn to the left and follow the main road to Barra de Navidad, a picturesque fishing town, and continue in the direction of Puerto Vallarta looking out on the left and side the sign for El Careyes Beach Resort. Should you prefer flying in to Puerto Vallarta airport; the resort is located approximately 113 miles south of Puerto Vallarta. Take highway 200 south in the direction of Barra de Navidad. While the drive does take about two hours and a half, the view is particularly scenic as it takes you along the coastline.
